Shinsei Takabe's Chinese name is Zhou Cheng and he was born in Harbin, China in 1979. At the age of 15, he moved to Japan, his grandmother's homeland. I entered the School of Visual Arts in 2000 and majored in photography. He then began photographing the places and people he grew up in China. Currently working as a freelance photographer.
