Fragrance is closely related to the sense of smell, and although invisible, it is deeply connected to emotions and memories. Applying perfume to the body and filling spaces is a primitive necessity. We also create beautiful containers to store these fragrances. This book introduces approximately 230 pieces selected from the Takasago International Co., Ltd. collection. These pieces include perfume bottles, incense burners, incense containers, and implements used in the art of incense. Takasago's collection includes a wide range of beautiful pieces, from ancient oriental incense bottles and ancient Roman glass, to Meissen and other ceramics, and perfume bottles from the modern art and decorative arts eras, as well as contemporary pieces.
