This book is a photo collection that focuses on the tsubo gardens of Kyoto's machiya townhouses. It contains 84 photos taken by renowned photographer Katsuhiko Mizuno, and is divided into three categories: gardens of merchants, gardens of restaurants and teahouses, and gardens of residences. With intricate composition and delicate lighting, the book vividly expresses the unique charm of Kyoto machiya tsubo gardens.
