Flowers are the heart.
Never forget your beginner's spirit.
-- Zeami
Here are beautiful flowers still unknown to the world.
Yet there is nothing newfangled about them; rather, they are fresh, close to the form ikebana took when it was born.
There is no school, no teacher. These flowers, born from the hands of "amateurs," are even praised by Toshiro Kawase, a "master." What could be the reason?
For six years, the artist has consistently gone to the mountains and fields every week, searching for plants, arranging them, and photographing them. From over 300 photos, 70 have been carefully selected and are being presented for the first time.
