Yet there is nothing novel about them; rather, they are fresh flowers close to the form of ikebana when it was born.

There is no school and no teacher. Even Toshiro Kawase, a "professional," praises these flowers born from the hands of an "amateur." What could the reason be?

Going out to the mountains and fields every week without fail, searching for wild flowers, arranging them and photographing them, he has continued for six years. Seventy have been carefully selected from more than 300 photographs and are presented here for the first time.
