Marseille Apartment is a modernist building designed by Le Corbusier in Marseille, France. This is one of Le Corbusier's most famous works. Marseille Apartments has 18 floors, 337 rooms and can accommodate approximately 1,600 people. Le Corbusier designed similar apartments in four other locations, including Berlin, but none can compare in scale or significance to the Marseille Apartments. In 2016, Marseille Apartments was inscribed on the World Heritage List. Construction of this project began in 1947, it was completed in 1952, and it was introduced in Japan in 1955, which shows that there was a lot of interest in the Japanese architectural community at the time.
