Celebrating the vision, imagination, and talent of photographers from 20th-century icons to modern masters and contemporary rising stars, this book showcases the finest works of Magnum Photos.
Founded in 1947 by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger, and David Seymour, the legendary photography collective Magnum Photos has powerfully documented contemporary people, cultures, events, and issues. Marking its 75th anniversary, this book presents an expanded and revised edition of MAGNUM MAGNUM (2007), which sold over 200,000 copies worldwide.
Following the collaborative process established by Magnum’s founders—where the four edited each other’s photographs—this book is structured with 88 members each selecting and critiquing six works by another photographer, accompanied by explanations of their choices. Additionally, it includes 25 photographers who joined Magnum in the past 15 years and over 150 new images. From iconic masterpieces familiar to all to photographs capturing ongoing global events, such as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, this revised edition presents 533 images across more than 700 pages with stunning printing, making it the definitive update of a classic work.
