Published in conjunction with Daido Moriyama’s 2006 exhibition at Rat Hole Gallery in Omotesando, Tokyo, it continues the photographer’s signature “Are, Bure, Boke” (grainy, blurry, out-of-focus) style. Captured in stark black and white with high contrast and coarse grain, the images record fleeting moments and atmospheres of the city streets. Lacking a singular theme, the work embodies Moriyama’s instinctive approach to street photography. The photographs, predominantly of Tokyo and other urban locales, depict cityscapes, people, and everyday scenes, offering a raw, personal vision of urban life.
