The Monocle Book of Japan
The Monocle Book of Japan
Monocle’s book offers an extensive exploration of Japan, covering design, architecture, culture, cuisine, fashion, and current affairs. Since its founding in 2007, Monocle has maintained a deep and enduring connection with Japan. From the very first day of its publication, the magazine established an office in Tokyo, which has since expanded to include a Monocle shop and a radio studio.
Over the past decade, Monocle and its team have continuously deepened their appreciation and understanding of Japan. This book presents a rich tapestry of stories, from firsthand accounts of traveling aboard the Emperor’s private jet and discovering the finest restaurants in Kagoshima to profiles of fashion designers challenging convention and extraordinary business narratives that have never been told outside Japan.
