As a lineage of Sengoku-period daimyo and tea masters, the Hosokawa family holds a collection of objects used by tea sages such as Sen no Rikyu, Yusai and Sansai. This book records the 1978 touring exhibition held at Nihonbashi Takashimaya and other venues, and through 77 selected plates reveals the diverse faces of tea ceramics, from Korean Koryo and Ido tea bowls to Karatsu and Raku ware.
