This book is a collection of works by the Japanese sculptor and stonemason Masatoshi Izumi (1938–2021), focusing on a stone sculpture exhibition held in Sapporo in 2000. It presents works that use stone as the main material and combine traditional Japanese stone-carving techniques with contemporary sculptural thinking.
