Ke Peng: Salt Ponds

Born in Hunan and raised in Shenzhen, Ke Peng seeks to awaken the perception of others by using rapidly developing urban spaces as a stage, projecting personal experiences onto the fragile and delicate parts of the metropolis. In essence, Salt Ponds functions like an ecosystem whose balance may have been slightly disrupted through participation. The condition of the ponds and fish ultimately reflects those who, while confined within the city, remain dependent on the excitement and security it provides.
