Meizan uses the warm texture of Shigaraki clay in everyday pottery, continuing a tradition of around 400 years. This long, rectangular plate has a raised rim to help prevent food from slipping off. Its handmade irregularity creates a gentle finish; the shape suits fish and main courses while taking up little table depth.
