This book is an exhibition catalogue introducing the photographer Ken Domon's "Koji Junrei" (Pilgrimage to Ancient Temples) series. Containing works depicting ancient temples such as Yakushi-ji and Horyu-ji, Buddhist statues and temple architecture, it records Japanese Buddhist art and historic architecture. Associated with the touring exhibition held at the Odakyu Department Store in Tokyo in autumn 1972 and at the Hanshin Department Store in Osaka in spring 1973, it features 115 works.
