The 1970s in Japan, set against rapid economic growth, were a time of political and cultural upheaval. Photography moved away from earlier social documentary toward expression rooted in personal vision, while advertising and fashion photography were also in their early days.
This photobook collects some 160 works by nine photographers who represent the 1970s, each taking "Tokyo" as a motif from their own perspective. Part of the IMA Photobooks series.
